Why do I have to fill out a form for the inspection of my cargo bike?

Before we inspect your Babboe-E-model cargo bike, we want to know which motor and which control system (controller box) the cargo bike has. Depending on the controller box, an additional adjustment may be required during the inspection. You will receive an email from us with a link. Remove the battery from your cargo bike and follow the instructions in the form.

How do I check if I have a Babboe-E model?

Babboe's E-models have a rear-wheel motor. You can find the battery and the control system (controller box) under the luggage carrier.

Is the battery of your Babboe in or around the box? Then you probably have a Mountain model. Mountain models do not require an additional check on the controller box. Check if your cargo bike is registered as a Mountain model. Is that not the case? Please contact us.

Fill in the E-Kit checker

Follow the instructions in the E-Kit checker to see what brand and type your controller box is. You can recognize the brand by the battery.

1. Remove the battery.
2. Compare the shape of the battery with the photos and choose the right brand.
• Do you have a GWA battery? Choose GWA>Next.
• Do you have any of the other brands? Choose the right brand and go to Next>Next You will receive an email to schedule an appointment when it is your cargo bike's turn for an inspection.
3. For a GWA battery, look at the connection to the battery and compare with the photo. Choose the right version.
• For Easi A36, choose Easi A36>Next>Next. You will receive an email to schedule an appointment when it is your cargo bike's turn for an inspection.
• For (ibo-)R[XX] choose (ibo-)R[XX]>Next.
4. Look at the (ibo-)R[XX] for the type number.

Underneath the seat, where the luggage rack attaches to the seat tube, there is a sticker on the controller box. The controller box is the black box where cables come out. The first 8 characters of the serial number are the type number of the controller box. Choose the correct type number from the menu and choose Next>Next.

You can immediately see whether we can adjust the controller box during the inspection or need to replace it. You will receive an email to confirm that we have received your information.

Is the type number not legible?

1. Put the battery back in the controller box.
2. Compare the display/control panel on your handlebar with the photos and choose the right one.
• Do you have the A36 Display? Choose A36 Display/Remote>Next>next. You will receive an email to schedule an appointment when it is your cargo bike's turn for an inspection.
• Heb je een C500 Display of G600 Display? Kies C500 Display/Remote of G600 Display>Next
3. For a C500 Display or G600 Display , turn on the electric assist.
4. Briefly press the on/off button on the display to see if it turns on the light.
5. Choose the appropriate option and choose Next>Next.

You can immediately see what type of controller box you have and whether we can adjust the controller box during the inspection or need to replace it. You will receive an email to confirm that we have received your information.
