My display is showing an error – what can I do?

Your cargo bike's display might show a range of error messages. In this article we'll guide you through how to figure out what the error message on your cargo bike display means.

Error codes

First, select your type of motor: Yamaha or GWA. Depending on this, you can look up the error message your cargo bike is showing, and whether you can fix it yourself.
There are a few ways to check which type of motor you have:

You'll see either "GMA" or "Yamaha" on the motor and battery.

Look at where the battery is positioned. Is the battery located under the bench in the cargo box? Then you have a Yamaha motor. Is it located under the rear carrier? Then you probably have a GWA motor. (Older E-models might have a QWIC or Protanium system. If that's yours, then please get in touch with Babboe customer service.)

Once you know your brand, you can consult the instructions below to figure out what the error means.
